GNOCCHI, TAPAS AND WINE

Located in the quaint town of Betty’s Bay, just 10 minutes from Villa Marine Guest House, Gnocchi, Tapas and Wine boasts a lovely outdoor garden area with views stretching from the mountains down to the sea. This unpretentious eatery serves up excellent quality meals and is particularly well known for its extensive tapas menu. These small plates are reasonably priced, reducing the need to choose just one item from the tasty selection on offer. Try out the double baked cheese souffle or the roast lamb bruschetta or opt for the items infused with local South African flavours, such as the biltong and mozzarella arancini or the pumpkin fritters with cinnamon sugar. In addition to some hearty “big plate” options Gnocchi also offers a tempting sushi menu to choose from.

HANGING ROCK KITCHEN

If you have a hankering for great pizza, the Hanging Rock Kitchen on Diagonal Street in Pringle Bay, serves up crispy, thin-crust pizza, which our guests rave about. This family-run restaurant is known for its eclectic décor and friendly service. There is a cosy indoor eating area and an outside area boasting mountain and sea views. The menu is short and sweet, offering the classic pizza favourites as well as some more unusual options. Try The Springbok – topped with springbok carpaccio, camembert and fig preserve – or The Safari – topped with biltong, rocket and red onion. This restaurant is also a great option on Sunday nights when most restaurants in Pringle Bay are closed.
